Thank you for visiting. My name is Shann Spishak. I have been painting my whole life and hold degrees in studio art and interior design. All of my artwork is hand painted and sketched- no digital or computer generated. I'm continually inspired by the beauty of everyday objects, the comforts of home, and the allure of design and color. Working as a painter on canvas or paper is a beautiful process for me- it's never about the finished product.  When I start a painting I have a basic idea of what I want, but the beauty to me, is in the process of putting it all together to my satisfaction. To me, it is like a puzzle- find the missing pieces that will make the art sing! And it often ends up different than the original idea- the painting can have a mind of its own, and I've learned to just go with it. The process brings me sheer delight and accomplishment.
