Happy second day of spring! Phew, we made it through the winter storms, literally and figuratively. We are well and wish you health also!
Winter storms are the norm on the island. In fact, that is one reason why we don't spend a lot of time on the island in the winter. Too much wind and too many power outages, and you never know when they'll occur. The last of the winter months, a few weeks ago in February, this is what the neighbor saw when bringing over the mail to the main house.
A medium size fir tree had fallen onto the north side of my studio. I wasn't even aware of it until she told me. We've lived on the island for a long time, and NEVER had a tree come down on our houses! Long story short, the studio held up with no damage thank god. As you can see it was mainly the top of the tree, the part without the trunk, that made contact with the studio, so no real weight came down on the building. No repairs needed for now except the tree cutters. Thank you for coming SPRINGTIME!
